The Healthcare Working Group invites you to participate in the 8th Annual INCOSE Healthcare Systems Conference, April 26-27, 2023 at Crowne Plaza AiRE Hotel, Bloomington, Minnesota. This year's conference topics include: Compliance/Safety/FMEAs, "Beyond the System", Requirements and Test Management, Agile & Lean Methods, Digital Systems Engineering (MBSE, Simulations), and Machine Learning / AI.
I will be presenting a session on "System Engineering in an Agile Environment":
Agile development methods encourage the continuous, iterative execution of activities to define, architect/design, build, and test new products, and discourage "Big Definition Up Front", "Big Design Up Front", and "Big Test at the End" activities. But in the development of complex systems, the focus and effort needed for these activities can vary over time and context, and in some cases a "Big <something>" activity might be necessary and useful. This session will explore how the Systems Engineer can help Agile teams determine the best sequence and emphasis of development activities to realize the benefits of Agility while developing robust systems.
